Alene Osborne-Minix, 77, of Nokomis. FL and Duluth, GA passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Osborne-Minix was born March 28, 1941 in Stanly County to the late Cranford Eli Lambert and the late Connie Marie Lambert.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, David Osborne. Alene spent her youth in Stanly County and her later years were spent in Georgia and Florida. She was a travel manager for Crawford and Company for 28 years.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM -1:45 PM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Kinney Wallace.

Burial will follow at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 24671 Millingport Road, Locust. Survivors include husband, Forrest Minix of Nokomis, FL; step-daughters, Susan Felker, Lynn Francis and husband Charles, and Kim Shamroe, 6 step grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren; a host of cousins; aunt, Pauline Tucker of Trinity Place; and uncle, Wilbert Almond of Lake Norman. Special gratitude is extended to Susan Felker for her loving care of Alene during her illness.
