W. Michael Quick, age 63, near Libertytown, died unexpectedly Friday, August 31, 2018 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Born October 11, 1954 in Silver Spring, he was the son of the late Jimmy Quick and Jean Bender. He was the husband of Laura Quick.

Michael was formerly the owner/operator of a landscaping business and more recently was employed with R.P.M. Construction as an equipment mechanic. In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Shelley Steed and Charles of Union Bridge, Dina Bartolomeo and husband Tony of Gaithersburg and David Benedict and wife Brooks of Damascus; 4 grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Zoe and Allie; great grandchildren, Autumn, Paighton and Corbin (expected in December) and siblings, Patsy Burello, Susie Fitz, Bobby, Joey and John Quick.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael James Quick. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Social Hall of the New Market District Volunteer Fire Co., 76 W. Main St., New Market.
