Obituary for Wallace Edward McCue Wallace Edward McCue, 89, of Fort Payne, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. He was born July 9, 1929 to the late Carl Edward and Sybil Jane McNew McCue. In 1952 and 1953, Mr. McCue played professional basketball on a 4-man team called The Silent Warriors from Atlanta and then later played on a traveling team from Birmingham.

He was blessed thru the years with many supportive men and friends who helped him in his life. Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

He is survived by his daughters, Jean Jackson and husband, Phillip, and Jane Youngblood and husband, Jimmie; grandchildren, Christy Jordan (Bradley), Brian Sloan, Patrick Jackson (Martha), and Justin Jackson (Lana); and great-grandchildren, Luke, Evelyn, Wilder, Spencer, and Sawyer Wallace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha McCue, parents, Carl and Sybil McCue, and sister, Billie Jo Burdine. The family extends special thanks to the entire staff of Collinsville Healthcare for their exceptional care and kindness to the McCue family.
