Obituary for Wallace J. Henshaw Wallace ( Wally ) J. Henshaw passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. Born April 1, 1928 to J. W. and Mary Henshaw in Haskell, Texas. He was the youngest of 13 boys and often referred to as ” Scamp “… a nickname bestowed upon him by his older brothers.

Wallace enlisted in the Merchant Marines at the age of 17, eventually joining the Army before returning to Haskell and marrying Nancy Kate Free in June of 1952. Wally attended Abilene Christian College, and Texas Christian University. He retired after 38 years as a design engineer with General Dynamics.

September 1st was his favorite day of the year as he was an avid dove hunter. He also enjoyed the challenge of restoring muscle cars. A resident of Ft.

Worth for over 65 years, he is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Cindy Holstein and her husband David; grandsons, David Matthew Holstein and Jonathan Phillip Holstein. Wally affectionately referred to them as aardvark and rascal respectively; nieces and nephews. Memorials are pending at this time.
