Wanda Jean Williams July 24, 1940 – January 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Wanda Jean Williams passed away on January 28, 2019. She was 78 years old. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl Wayne Williams, son Keith Williams and wife Kris of Austin, daughters Carla Lovelace of Lubbock and Lissa Vause and husband Scott of Sweetwater. Other surviving family members include sisters Bonnie Ware and husband Dowling of Athens, TX, Truby Hardin and husband L.C. of Kerrville, sister-in-law Margaret Stockton of Tyler, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Linda B Jordan.

Wanda was born July 24, 1940 in Sweetwater to parents William Travis and Audrey B Fullwood who owned Fullwood Cabinet Shop in Sweetwater for many years. Following Wanda’s marriage to Carl in June of 1956, Carl joined the United States Army and served for twenty-two years. Wanda and Carl traveled extensively during their time in the armed services and were stationed in Ft.

Bliss, El Paso, Ft. Polk, LA, various military bases in Germany over a period of eleven years, Ft. Knox, KY, Ft.

Hood, TX and Ft. Belvoir, VA. They settled in San Angelo, TX in 1989.

Wanda was gifted in many ways and was an accomplished seamstress and artist. She was also a homemaker in the true sense of the word, making home a beautiful place to be. She instilled a giving character and loving values in her children and those around her which continues to live on in the lives of those touched by her grace.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Reverend Ryan Strebeck officiating. McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to Alzheimer’s research.
