Wanda L. (Disney) Boles, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Good Life Senior Living & Memory Care in Carlsbad, NM. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, 10:00 AM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with John Ayers of Hobbs officiating. Visitation will be at Denton-Wood Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2018, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Wanda was born February 8, 1931 to Jasper Allen and Pauline Disney in Eddy, Oklahoma. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1949. Wanda married James L. Boles April 28, 1950.

She worked many years for Anthony’s, the Carlsbad School Cafeterias and Baskin & Robbins. Wanda was a member of First Assembly of God for many years and served over 25 years as President of the Ruth Circle in WM’s (Women’s Ministries) sewing quilts, to support the Missionaries. She loved yardwork, sewing, cooking for her family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Mimi”.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Pauline Disney; husband, James Leslie Boles; sisters: Paula Sebesta and Dawna Freeman; brothers, Wayne Disney and Charles Disney. Survivors are her son, Randy Boles and wife, Mary Kay of Carlsbad, NM, daughter, Celeste Boles of Austin, Texas and daughter, Kendra Willmon and husband, Kevin of Artesia. Wanda leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Ryan, Sam, Stephanie, Melinda and James; 4 great-grandchildren: Austin, Owen, Olivia and little Frankie; sisters: Wilma Smith of California, Beth Lynch of Hobbs, NM and sister-in-law, Cheryl Todd of Carlsbad, NM.
