Obituary for Wanna Mae Miller Neiderhiser Wanna Mae Miller Neiderhiser, 96, of Champion, passed away peacefully Tues. Sept. 25, 2018 in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Pittsburgh, while surrounded and comforted by her loving family.

She was born April 13, 1922 in Johnston County, NC. , a daughter of the late Icha Worth and Metta Hillard Harrison. A native North Carolinian, Wanna Mae was living in Baltimore, MD.

, when she met Paul Miller. They married and were living there near her sister and husband, when Paul was called to the service. Wanna Mae then moved to Pennsylvania with their small children to live with Paul’s parents.

Wanna Mae was a soft-spoken lady, who was close to North Carolina extended family in spite of the distance that was between them. She raised two children, Ann Ainsley and Rob Miller, and has eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She and Paul were very active members of the County Line Church for all the years that they attended.

Wanna Mae had reached out to many people, doing for them what she could. After becoming a widow, she continued her service to the church. She was blessed to marry again, to Melvin Neiderhiser, also a widower and member of the church.

Among church offices held Wanna Mae had long served as a Deaconess, on the Witness Commission, and Ladies Aid. Many people remember Wanna Mae and have always admired her kindness, her beauty, her grace, and her genteel spirit. It was a privilege and blessing to have known her.

Family and friends will be received Thurs. from 10 AM – 3 PM and 5 – 9 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd. , Melcroft.

(724-455-2310) A Funeral Service will be held Fri. at 11:00 AM in the County Line Church of the Brethren, 1411 County Line Rd. , Champion, PA.

15622, with Pastor Barry Conn officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Champion.
