Warnie’s Obituary Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 (KJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Life Reflections Warnie Sue Knight Green “Granddear” was born July 8, 1938 to the parentage of Henry C. Knight, Sr. and Christine Knight of Kaufman, Texas, both who preceded her in death. She was the oldest of five siblings, Nancy, Henry, Marshall and Mary who also preceded her in death.
Warnie Sue received her formal education in Dallas ISD and graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1959. She met and married the love other life, Emerson Joe Green on February 18, 1961. To this union four children were born.
She committed her life to Christ at an early age and united with the Church of the Living God P.G.of T. and later moved her membership to Calvary Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed her and God called her home. She retired from Texas Instruments after working for 30 years. She was a licensed Foster mother with the state of Texas.
She was the master seamstress and floral designer for “Sisters Act Wedding and Catering” family business she started with her sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 58 years, Emerson J. Green; four daughters, Diann Wright, Janet Easter, Telesta Williams and Tunisia Wallace all of Dallas, Texas; two adopted children Robert Thirdgill and Shatavia Hopkins of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren, Joe M. Norris, Jr., Scotty Bridges, Jr. (Lakesha), Laurine F. Williams, IV. (Alisha), Warnie A. Green, Tristian Williams, Wynterlyn Smith, Emerson Wallace, Marquis Briscoe and Janyle Simmons; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
