Warren Street, Sr. of Irving, Texas February 22, 1923 – January 8, 2019 Warren Street, Sr, 95, of Irving, died on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Plano, Texas. Warren was born on February 22, 1923 in Rochester, New York to the late Frederick Godfrey and Minnie Frances (McIntre) Street. He was one of eleven children.

While the country was still reeling from the Great Depression, Warren and his family would spend days at the city dump, picking through to find anything they could sell as scrap. In 1942 he joined what was then the Army Air Corps (later became the US Air Force) and served tours in postwar Japan and Germany and wartime Korea. His total service spanned over 20 years.

He married Mary Lura Magee in June of 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2016. In 1962 he retired from the military and moved to Irving, Texas. Warren was a member of Oak Haven United Methodist Church in Irving.

Survivors include sons, Warren Richart Street, Jr. and wife Anne of Carrollton and Rodney Street of Wiley; grandchildren: Joshua and Jeremy Street and Warren Richard Street, III. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Burial will be at 2:15 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
