Wayne H. Townsend, 95, of Medina, died Thursday, November 01, 2018 at The Avenue, in Medina. Wayne was born February 14, 1923 in Rochester, New York to George and Hilda {Anderson} Townsend. Wayne served as a US Marines during WWII in the South Pacific.

He married Constance Sestito on December 6, 1946. Wayne worked in construction building houses and cabinets. He was a founding member of the Medina Squares as well as a member of the Carpenters Union.

He was an artist and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife; daughters Linda (Gerald) Boardman of Hinkley and Colene (Bill) Helsley of Beloit; grandchildren Daniel (Carrie) Nunnari, Anthony (Heather) Koorey and Jessica Koorey; great-grandchildren Nathan Nunnari, Lizzie Korey and Anson Schwegmann; sisters Jane and JoAnne. Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers Dell and Colin.

There will be no services held. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memory Gardens at a later date. Online tributes may be made at www.
