Mr. Griffin was born September 29, 1954 in Houma, Louisiana. He was an Marine Engineer with Ottocondy and is preceded by his parents and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Atonye Griffin of Hooks, Texas, two sons, Nicholas Griffin of New Boston, Texas, Jesse Griffin, two daughters, Naomi Griffin, Nikita Griffin, both of Hooks, Texas, one brother, Kirk Griffin of Houma, Louisiana and a number of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston, Texas.
