WILLIAM’s Obituary William Anthony “Billy” DeRungs, 55, Willow River, died Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Sturgeon Lake surrounded by his caregivers. He was born on February 3, 1963 in Sandstone to Lawrence and MaryAnn DeRungs. Billy grew up west of Rutledge and attended Willow River High School.

He worked for various construction companies through the years which included painting bridges, water towers, and also the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. Later in life, Billy switched careers and worked as a PCA for Heartland. He truly loved his dogs and often took them wherever he went.

Billy also loved his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, his parents: Lawrence and MaryAnn; four siblings: Larry DeRungs, Danny DeRungs, Chuckie DeRungs, and Mary Rose Mikrot; and his 15-year-old Dog, Lucy whom he loved so much. Billy will be lovingly remembered by his three sons: Daniel, Jessie, and Billy Jo; three grandchildren: Piper, Harper, and Weston; five siblings: Sharon Mikrot; Nick DeRungs; Timmy DeRungs, Terry (Chris) DeRungs; and Sandy (Kevin) Mikrot; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be from 4 PM until the 5 PM service on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Spring Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Rutledge. Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
