William “Bill” Parker, Jr., passed away suddenly November 22nd, in Flagler Beach, Florida. Bill was born on April 5, 1957 to the late William Parker, Sr. and Gloria (Rudisill) Parker. Bill was known to everyone in the Stamford community as the Owner/Operator of Bill’s Service of Stamford.

Bill and his family were a staple at the shop on Gleason Avenue for many years, and his tow trucks could always be seen around the Fairfield County corridor. His humor was always evident in his quick remarks and one liners and his humor was only matched by his generosity and great big heart. Bill was also a volunteer fireman at the Glenbrook Fire Department.

Although gone entirely much too soon, Bill absolutely lived life to its fullest. Always on his terms, and always made more special with his best friend, favorite companion, and wife, Diane, Bill found happiness in special times at NASCAR races, camping, fishing and boating. He made every event more special by his absolute joy of doing all the things that he loved.

Never to miss a party or family event, Bill loved to travel and see the sights in his camper. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Yankees fan, and a huge fan of any sporting event that his grandchildren and nieces participated in. Bill leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Diane Hogan Parker.

He also is survived by “his boys”, his twin sons, James and his wife, Kathleen, and William III and his wife Laurie. Bill will be missed forever by the four loves of his life, his grandchildren, Billy, Kayla, Brianna, and Jimmy Parker. “Pop Pop”, as he was adoringly called by them, could always be found enjoying the little moments of life with his grandkids.

Whether it was lounging in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, taking the camper to the Big E or State Fairs, Pop Pop made every single moment together so much fun and very special. Bill is also survived by his brother, Robert Parker and his wife Cheryl, and several nieces and nephews. Bill will also be missed by many in-laws and longtime friends.

Bill shared many happy moments with his old bulldog Mack, with whom he is now reunited, and also leaves behind his faithful, grumpy, lovable, companion, Tank. The family will receive friends and family from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, November 30th at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1st at 10am at The Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905.

The interment will immediately follow mass at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bill’s name to the Stamford Hospital Foundation, 1351 Washington Blvd. , Suite 202, Stamford, CT 06902 or online at www.
