Obituary for Mr. William Franklin Waters Sr Mr. William Franklin Waters, Sr., 82, of Comer, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. Mr. Waters was the son of the late Samuel Preston Waters and Sally Ruth (Sutherland) Waters.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Moon) Waters. Mr. Waters was retired from the granite industry in Elberton, and from the Georgia Army National Guard at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Collier Baptist Church.

Mr. Waters is survived by a daughter, Pamela Lou (Waters) Tucker of Comer; and two sons: Robert Eric Waters of Comer, and William Franklin Waters, Jr. and his wife, Missy, of Crawford. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Waters’ life was held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.
