Obituary for William J. Obermeyer William J. Obermeyer, age 69, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Ohio Health ER. He passed from complications of COPD. Bill served his country by joining the US Army in 1967 and served during the Vietnam Era and was later a member of the Ohio National Guard.

Bill was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a Financial Coordinator for 34 years. Bill enjoyed sports, traveling, and reading. He was a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary and Paul; his sisters, Alicia and Sharon. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Rowe) Obermeyer. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Obermeyer; sister, Barbara Johnson; brother, Robert (Peggy) Obermeyer; brother, Leonard (Karen) Obermeyer; sister, Jennifer (Marc) Leonard and brothers, Paul (Beth) Obermeyer; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio from 2-4 pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 where a Memorial Service will be follow at 4:00 pm.
