Pettit, 81, of Phillipsburg passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Brakeley Park Center in Lopatcong Township. Born December 26, 1937 in Phillipsburg he was the son of the late William C. and Ella (Summit) Pettit. He was a mechanic at Rudy’s Car Wash before retirement.

William is survived by a brother Lee (wife, Marilyn) Pettit; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by siblings Floyd, Robert, Martha and Ellwood. Graveside funeral services will be announced.
