Obituary for William Protzman Jr. William L. “Larry” Protzman, Jr. 1947-2018 William L. “Larry” Protzman, Jr. 70, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home. Larry was born on April 23, 1947 in Maryville, Missouri to William and Cheryle (Reed) Protzman, Sr He graduated from Maryville High School in 1965 and attended Northwest Missouri State University.

Larry served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and IBEW. He was a former member of the St. Gregory School Board, Knights of Columbus and the Maryville Jaycees.

He worked for St. Joseph Light & Power and KCPL for 42 years. He married Carolyn S. Hutson on December 23, 1967 in Maryville, Missouri, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include son, Steve (Tracy) Protzman, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Michelle (Pat) Hiatt, Wentzville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Haley (Max) Apple, Hannah Protzman, Hillary Protzman, Kylie, Ryan and Brett Hiatt; great-granddaughter, Joanie Apple; two brothers, Jerry (Carole) Protzman, San Tan Valley, Arizona, John (Pam) Protzman, Papillion, Nebraska; three sisters, Judy Stratton, Little Rock, Arkansas, Barbara (Charles) Bogardo, Camdenton, Missouri, Kay (Russell) Nicholson, Hopkins, Missouri; sister-in-law, Linda Kremer, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 9th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. Mr. Protzman has been cremated. A private burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri.
