Obituary for William R. Hampton Jr. William R. Hampton, Jr., age 61, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center, after a brief fight with cancer. A native of Erwin, William is a son of the late Rubin and Jane (Taylor) Hampton. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

He loved motorcycles. William R. Hampton, Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife: Jill Hampton; Mother of his children: Pamela Jefson; Children: Seth Hampton and wife, Karen, Dustin Tolley, Amanda Padgett, Jack Jefson; Mother-in-law: Janie Arrowood. Special granddaughter: Kyra Hampton; Grandchildren: Johnathon Peterson, Jessup Peterson, Jasmine Peterson, Allason Maden, Caelyn Maden; Four great grandchildren; Sister: Carol Miller; Special friend Keith Williams.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of William R. Hampton, Jr. in a funeral service to be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Kyle Tipton will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 PM and will continue until the hour of service.

The family requests that those attending wear relaxed clothing, such as blue jeans, black t-shirts or Harley shirts. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
