Obituary for David Wayne Beals Sr. David Wayne Beals, Sr., age 57, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his home. A native of Erwin, David is the son of the late Wayne Hawkin and Trula Belle (Howard) Beals. He was of the Holiness faith and he retired from C. E. Refractories in Erwin after 28 years of service.

He loved horses, cars and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Beals; his brother, Darrell Beals; nephews, Donald Lynn Ayers and Wayne Oscar Ayers; niece, Elizabeth Virginia White. David Wayne Beals, Sr. has left behind to cherish his memory: Son: David J. “Tiggy” Beals, of Jonesborough; Grandchildren: David Austin Beals, Tristen Wayne Beals; Step-grandchildren: Emily Jones, Gavin Bange, Trevor Rice; Daughter-in-law: Tracy “Pocahontas” Beals; Sisters: Brenda White and husband, Jerry, Charlene Nelson and husband, Harold, Eva Beals, Rita Rice and husband, David; Aunt: Charlotte Barnett; Special friends: Leroy Malone, David Folder; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life David Wayne Beals, Sr. in a funeral service to be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Jimmie Simerly will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by Ray and Debbie Mitchell.

A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday and will continue until the hour of service in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will follow the funeral service on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Garland Cemetery. Those attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home for the 2:00 PM service to go in procession.

Pallbearers will be notified. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
