Obituary for Justin “Boomer” Vance Justin “Boomer” Vance, age 30, of Unicoi, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. A native of Unicoi, Justin is a son of Sam Vance and Marie (Powers) Denney. He was a 2006 graduate of Unicoi County High School and was currently employed by Wallace Imports of Bristol, but had previously been a salesman at Bill Gatton Automotive Group.

Justin is a member of Northridge Community Church where he was active in children’s ministry. He was an outgoing and loving father and a “Jack of all trades”. Justin never knew a stranger and was a man who loved his friends, family and God.

He enjoyed music, “Magic The Gathering” the card game, fishing and watching sports – especially UT Sports. He was an avid gun collector and loved watching Hockey. Justin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Mildred Vance and his grandfather, McAlester Powers.

Justin “Boomer” Vance leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife and love of his life: Danielle (Holbrook) Vance, of Unicoi; Children: Audrey Vance, of Unicoi, Colton Vance, of Unicoi, Hazel Vance, of Unicoi; Father: Sam Vance and wife, Mary Lou, of Erwin; Mother: Marie Denney and husband, Jack E., of Unicoi; Brother: Jason Vance and wife, Jennifer, of Unicoi; Grandmother: Dorothy Powers, of Unicoi; Step-sister: Shelia Trivett, of NC; Niece: Taylor Vance, of CA; Nephew: Brennan Vance, of CA; Several other family members and in-laws. The family would like to offer special thanks to Eric Williams for his leadership in his faith. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Justin “Boomer” Vance in a funeral service to be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Unicoi County High School auditorium.

Eric Williams and Stephen Hendrix will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 and will continue until the hour of service. A committal service will be held at Burrell Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Those attending the committal service will meet at Burrell Cemetery by 2:50 PM for the service. The family has asked that those attending the committal service on Sunday dress in casual, UT attire. Active pallbearers will be Jason Vance, Nick Adams, Jeremy Whitson, Josh Hull, Ryan Powers, Nick Demetre, Justin Whitson and Daniel Bishop.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Denney. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
