Obituary for William Ray Hughes William Ray Hughes, age 98 of Monroe and Trenton, passed away September 30, 2018 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born January 3, 1920 in Middletown, the son of Jessie Frank Hughes and Sarah (Brown) Hughes. William was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific during World War II.

William is survived by a large loving family, two sons, Rick Hughes and Timothy (Fanny) Hughes; grandchildren, Trevor (Lisa) Hughes, Melissa (Cassey) McDonald; four great grandchildren, Jessie, Chelsey, Dory and Nela; and many friends and family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Lindsay) Hughes in 2008 and his parents. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Woodside Cemetery Chapel with Chaplain Karen Fleming officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Please visit www.
