Obituary of William “Sonny” Sassaman William “Sonny” R. Sassaman, 62, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on January 16, 2019, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. Born in Pottstown, PA, on March 22, 1956, he was the son of Jean A. (Kerr) Sassaman and the late Henry A. Sassaman. Sonny was an avid fan of the Phillies and the Eagles.

He also enjoyed reading, golfing, running, and planting in his garden. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Jerry Sassaman, husband of Joan, Pottstown, PA. A viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonny’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.
