Together Again William Z. Paitsel, Sr. KEYSER, W.Va. – William Z. “Bill” Paitsel, Sr., 83, of 1570 Beacon Street, Keyser, died Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Emily (Chapman) Paitsel on May 8, 2014.

Born May 23, 1935 in Covington, VA, he was the son of the late Marshall J. and Ruby (Taylor) Paitsel and the last surviving member of his immediate family Mr. Paitsel was a retired as a Chemical Prep in the 8&9 Beater Room at Westvaco. He was a member of Keyser Presbyterian Church, Davis Lodge 51, AF & AM and Raymond Dawson Memorial F.O.P. of Keyser. Bill was a former Chief of Police for the town of Luke, MD.

Surviving are his two sons, William Z. Patisel, Jr. and wife Marsha of Monroe, NC and Christopher J. Paitsel, of Keyser; five grandchildren: Shana R. Barr, Krista Paitsel Barnes, Dana Paitsel Schaeffer, Christopher Paitsel and Lucas Paitsel; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Samuel Biser officiating. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, with a Masonic Service by Davis Lodge 51, AF & AM.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in honor of William Z. Paitsel, Sr. to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
