Obituary of William Rose William Charles Rose, Oct 28, 1943-Sept 11, 2018. Surrounded by family, Bill Rose passed away in Salisbury, MD at Coastal Hospice just shy of his 75th birthday. Bill’s passion for life and his love for his wife Bonnie King-Rose drove him to battle his illness with remarkable courage and determination for nearly two years.

His family and friends already miss him, but are relieved that he has finally been blessed with well-deserved rest. Bill grew up in Upper Darby, PA, and is a graduate of Monsieur Bonner High School in Philadelphia and a 1966 graduate of Lasalle University. He was on the Men’s Rowing team and a recognized member of the Dad Vail Regatta 1962 – Men’s Freshman 8 Championship.

He was commissioned into the Navy and served his country as a F-4 Naval Aviator and a Chief Engineer on USS Constellation in Vietnam. Then entered the private sector as a Marine Engineer. Bill was also an artist, craftsman, a musician and loved training German Sheppard’s for shows and companion programs.

He was a member of the Elks and The Paint and Powder Club. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Rose. He is survived by his wife Bonnie King Rose, Mother, Rita Rose, Brother Donald Rose and family, Tom and Kirby Dore, Brian and Katherine King, Grandchildren Sydney and Brendan Dore and Madeline and Charles King.

Bill’s life will be celebrated in Maryland. Friends and family are invited to join the celebration on October 28th , 1PM at The Country Club of Maryland, 1101 Stevenson Ln, Baltimore, MD 21286. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be sent In Memory of Bill to Outpatient Chemotherapy, c/o Mercy Health Foundation, 301 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, MD 21202/or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 100 Painters Mill Rd.
