Obituary of Betty Stottlemyer Betty Mae Adkins Stottlemyer, 61, of Crisfield, MD, died on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore following a lengthy illness. Born on October 14, 1956 in Nassawadox, VA, she was a daughter of Aldren and Peggy Taylor Adkins of Pocomoke City, MD. Betty was a graduate of Pocomoke High School and was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Betty is survived by her husband Wayne D. Stottlemyer, Sr.; one daughter, Stephanie Bailey and her fiancée William Shockley; one son Wayne Daniel Stottlemyer, Jr., who is known as Daniel and his best friend, Yanni Agothos, whom she called her “adopted son” all of Crisfield: four brothers, Tommy, Raymon, Phillip and William Adkins; one sister, Gloria Mills; two granddaughters, Abby and Angel and a large extended family. Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Aldren “Bud” Adkins and Larry Adkins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where visitations will be held Monday from 5PM-7PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Rev. Bob Blevins will officiate. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, 2240 Old Snow Hill Road, Pocomoke City, MD.
