Interment will be in Soileau Cemetery. Mr. Melvin is survived by his parents, Willie Serie (Betty) of Mamou, LA and Judy Melvin Richard (Leonard) of Oberlin, LA; a son, Tylen Leday of Ville Platte, LA; a brother, Closton Melvin (Brittany) of Ville Platte, LA; six sisters, Antwishia Robinson (Damieon) of Warner Robins, GA, Tawatcha Melvin – Williams (Robert) of Jacksonville, FL, Fredgerricka Serie (Randy) of Soileau, LA, Terrika Richard of Ville Platte, LA, Maria Richard – Joseph (Casey) of Ville Platte and Krystle Fontenot of Ville Platte, LA; two Godchildren, Zachary Doucet of Soileau, LA and Carli Melvin of Ville Platte, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.

Mr. Melvin was preceded in death by his family. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. John Baptist Church. Share words of comfort with the Melvin family at www.
