WIllie Porter Donn, 91, of Leadhill, AR, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, KS. He was born April 13, 1927 the son of Willie E. and Emily J. Donn in Heber Springs, AR. Growing up in rural Arkansas he was able to enjoy fishing and boating as a kid and developed a love of the outdoors.

Willie worked for Coca-Cola of Mid America in sales for twenty eight years until retirement. His love for the outdoors lead him to begin working for the Corps of Engineers as an attendant for twenty eight years. Willie enjoyed gardening, keeping his lawn trimmed and his vehicles clean.

He loved serving others and God. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and then continued serving as a member of the American Legion and VFW where he would perform funeral honors for other veterans. He was also an active member in his church community.

He is survived by a daughter Dianne Gentry and husband Don of Kansas City, KS; daughter-in-law Kathy Donn of Bonner Springs, KS; a sister, Gladys Fellows; nine grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and many other great family members, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by wife Lorene Donn and wife Mary Donn; a son, Porter Donn; and a sister Thelma. The family will hold a graveside service at the Maple Hill Cemetery Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Honor Flight in memory of Willie.
