Willliam’s Obituary William F. Strodel 85, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was a 1952 graduate of Liverpool High School and subsequently graduated from Syracuse University. Bill was employed 44 years with Chuck Taylor’s Body Shop.

He enjoyed the St. Lawrence River and his summer home on Maple Island, water skiing, golf, bowling, boating, crossword puzzles and socializing with friends at local Liverpool Taverns. He took “Liverpool is the Place” to heart as he never left. He was past president and a member of the Liverpool Lions Club, a member of the Liverpool Optimists, Liverpool Elks Lodge # 2348 for 32 years and past president- secretary of the Auto Body Rebuilding Associates of Greater Syracuse for 30 years.

He was predeceased by a son, Theodore. Surviving are his wife Karen, 2 daughters Kathryn Strodel and Korrie Taylor (Josh), 2 sons William F. Strodel Jr. (Marina) and Tom Strodel (Francis), 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson. Calling Hours will be 4 to 7 pm Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
