Ruble Lewis, 97, of Parkersburg passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 5, 1921 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Laura Mullenix Sargent. Wilma retired from the Wood County Board of Education and had worked as a bookkeeper at Franklin Jr. High and Parkersburg South High Schools.

She was a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Kermit (Linda) Ruble of Tuppers Plains; daughter, Sharon (Mike) Ferrell of Vienna; sister, Geraldine Pahl of Parkersburg; two grandchildren, Terri and Brandi; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Meggan, James, and Harper; and three great-great grandchildren, Jackson, Pasley, and Wyatt. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her first husband, Harley Ruble; second husband, William Lewis; brother, Harold “Bud” Sargent; and two granddaughters, Susan and Tammy.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
