Winfred G. Vinroe, 87, of Butler, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, September 15, 2018 while in the company of her loving daughter at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler. Winifred was born in East Butler on April 14, 1931. She was the daughter of Carl and Laura Nevada McFadden Brewster.

Mrs. Vinroe was a long time active member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church and dedicated her life to living the gospel by example. She was a skilled seamstress and an avid shopper. She and her husband were long time co-owners of Vinroe Carpet in Butler.

She was married in East Butler on June 18, 1949 to A. Leroy Vinroe. Mr. Vinroe preceded her in death on March 19, 1998. She is survived by six children, Judy and Mike O’Harrow, Joan and Ted Goodridge, Gary and Katy Vinroe, Donna Davis, Gwen and Jim Coltz, and Kevin and Leslie Vinroe; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; a brother, Donald Lee Brewster and his wife, Lillian, a sister-in-law, Vanda Brewster, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Vinroe was preceded in death by an infant grandson, a brother, Burt, and a sister, Lois. Friends will be received at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM Tuesday and from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday. A funeral service officiated by pastor Richard Jenks will follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler, PA 16001.
