Obituary for Wlodimir “Walt” Jakymczuk Wlodimir “Walt” M. Jakymczuk, age 67, of Vineland passed away on September 25, 2018. The son of the late Petro and Leokadja (Wroblewska) Jakymczuk, Walt was born in Mittenwald, Germany on December 2, 1950. In 1951, the family made the journey to Ellis Island and resided in Philadelphia for around 10 years.

Ultimately the family would settle down in Franklinville and Walt was a graduate of Delsea Regional High School. In his earlier years, he worked as a carpenter and contractor with his father-in-law and later worked as a painter with Mike Kaganzev Painting in Vineland. Walt was a simple man who enjoyed fishing and loved his dogs, but he truly cherished the time that he got to spend with his grandchildren.

Walt is survived by his daughter Stephanie Magnan and her husband Frank of Vineland; his grandchildren Jake, Ryan and Carly Magnan; his sisters Katheryna Grosso, Anna Atkins and Olga Sims and her husband Don; his brother Bill Jakymczuk and his wife Karen; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Sylvester, Pete and John Jakymczuk. Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Elmer, NJ 08318 with a visitation from 10 to 11 AM and the funeral service at 11 AM.
