Woodrow “Woody”‘s Obituary Woodrow “Woody” Fred Clark Jr. Woody Clark, 70, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, died Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Savannah, GA. Woody, a man of great wisdom and wit, passion and faith, loved, and led his life, with fierce heart and determination. He was a loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; an advocate for family and strangers alike.

Born in Greenville to the late Woodrow Fred Clark Sr. and Bessie Viola Chapman Clark, Woody served in the U.S. Army as Staff Sergeant, a Military Police officer and Kennel Master. After 9 years in the service, he came home to Greenville to work for Michelin Tire Corporation until retirement. Woody is survived by his wife of 43 years Nadine M. Clark; his three daughters- Leigh Ann Vogel (husband Kenneth), Angela Clark Keel (husband Stephen), and Danielle Clark Shaw (husband Austin); five granddaughters Elizabeth, Athena Blue, Chloe, Alexandra, and Isabelle; his sisters Peggy Slaughter (husband Tony) and Nancy Reeves; brother Lane Clark; nine nieces; and nine nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Rando Clark and sister-in-law Sharon Burns Clark. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Woody Clark on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Younts Conference Center on the Furman University Campus, 3300 Poinsett Hwy, Greenville, SC 29613. Memorial donations may be made to the National Lymphedema Network lymphnet.
