Zelma Virginia Stanley McLelland, 79, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Rowan County April 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Thomas Luther Stanley and Jessie Lee Cooley Stanley. She was a homemaker and a member of South River Church of Christ in Woodleaf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lethia Luke, who died May 2, 2016, and her significant other, Troy Melton. She is survived by two grandchildren, Jimmy Russell and Tonya Taylor of Mocksville; seven great grandchildren: Matthew, Leigh-Ann, Tori, Chad, Maria, Austin and Daniel; eight great-great grandchildren: Shyann, Nova, Kayleigh, Joseph, Ja’Kayda, Sirrinna, Cherish and Honor; one brother, David Stanley of Woodleaf; four sisters: Linda Stanley Shores, Dora Corbett of Rockwell, Dolly Brown of Mocksville and Barbara “Pinkey” Holmes of Newport News, VA. Service arrangements are incomplete and will be announced on Sunday by Davie Funeral Service.
