Agnes Ruth Jenkins, 93 of Holdenville, Oklahoma passed away on November 14, 2018 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born on July 27th, 1925 in Appleton, Arkansas to William Wesley and Mattie Elizabeth (McNutt) Mathis. She graduated from Atwood High School.

Her activities included PTA, Sunday School teacher, Cub Scout, Girl Scout Leader, Pack Leader, active member of the Barnard Memorial Methodist Church . She loved to garden, loved the outdoors, sports, and OU football. She married Dale Jenkins… Read More » March 13, 1938 who preceded her in death on May 19, 2000.

Together they owned and operated the Smith Tire and Supply for many years and were known for helping those in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mattie Mathis, brothers, Mal Mathis, Lowell Mathis, Gus Mathis, Bill Mathis, sisters Margaret Christopher, Lucille Reeves, and Katheryn Green. Survivors include son Dale Keith Jenkins Jr, and wife Robin of Holdenville, daughter Karen Goodman and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, son James Allan Jenkins and wife Sharon Kay Jenkins of Shawnee, and daughter Jayne Ann Cox of Oklahoma City, brother-in-law Lavoy Green of Tuttle, Gerald Jenkins of Dallas, Texas and 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday November 16, 2018 at the Barnard Methodist Church, Rev. Robert Foos will officiate. Pallbearers are Bryan Jenkins, Taylor Cox, James Fife, Dane Jenkins, Justin Tehee and Zack Kingfisher.

Honorary pallbearers are Beth Lane, Jennifer Leyva, Chrystal Pramberg, Amanda Jenkins, Mattie LeMay, Jamie Dukes and Amy Jenkins. Funeral Service is under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
