Mr. Alejandro “Alex” Carrizales October 25, 1944 – December 19, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Alejandro Carrizales, a Catholic deacon for the Diocese of Corpus Christi, died on December 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Rosendo and Severa Carrizales, brothe John Carrizales and uncle Lucio Carrizales. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Moreno (Ernest Moreno), nephews Eduardo and Ernesto (Kim) Moreno and niece Christina Moreno, grand nephews Ernie, Manny, Max Moreno and grand niece Victoria Moreno.

Alex grew up on a farm south of Taft, Texas, and he attended church and school in Taft. As a Deacon, Alex enjoyed working with the parishioners of the parishes he served in Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Guardian funeral home chapel “A” with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Nuestra Senora de San Juan de los Lagos, Madre de la Iglesia, 1755 Frio St. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens cemetery. The family thanks the nursing staff at Wooldridge Nursing center for the excellent care given to Alex. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Alex’s memory to Nuestra Senora de San Juan de los Lagos, building fund or the charity of your choice.
