Alexis OJeda Sanchez passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on December 02, 2018. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Friday December 07, 2018 at 1:00PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 111 North Wood Street, Ferris, Texas. Interment to follow at Red Oak Cemetery.

There will be an all day visitation on Thursday December 6 at 570 Wester Road, Ferris, Texas 75125, Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:00PM. Alexis OJeda Sanchez was born on September 27, 1995 in Pomona, California to David R. OJeda Lopez and Blanca I. Sanchez- Carillo. Alexis’ siblings always teased that he was his mother’s “favorite”.

If his they wanted something special from their mom, they would tell Alexis to ask for it. When he did, it always a guaranteed “yes”. When he was young, he wanted his name to be David, just like his father, so when mom and dad had a new baby boy, Alexis named his new brother, David.

When Alexis and his sister, Marlene were younger, they would constantly fight with each other. As adults, they became best friends. He even developed a special bond with Marlene’s daughter, Jaylene.

Alexis graduated from Navarro College with his associate degree and was attending the University of Arlington to become an electrical engineer. He was not only very smart, Alexis was talented. He loved listening to his favorite rapper, Phora and he started making his own music as a new hobby.

He recently wrote lyrics and added the beat to an original song. Alexis also loved to play basketball, his favorite NBA team was the Los Angeles Lakers. Every day, Alexis was smiling and singing.

He always sent funny Snapchat videos of himself singing or he would sing loudly around the house and in his car. He was just happy all the time. Alexis took great pride in his two cars.

He was constantly working on them or adding something new to them. Alexis was always the life of the party. He never met and stranger and was kind to everyone.

He was full of life and knew how to make everyone around him laugh. His goofy smile and upbeat personality will be missed by all who got the pleasure of meeting him. Alexis is survived by his parents, David R. OJeda Lopez and Blanca I. Sanchez- Carillo; brothers, David OJeda and Jesse OJeda; sisters, Marlene OJeda and her husband, Jorge Nuñez and Joselynn OJeda; paternal grandparents, Jose Gilberto OJeda and Margarita Lopez; maternal grandparents, Fransisco Sanchez and Catalina Carillo, niece, Jaylene, girlfriend, Julia Victoria Garcia; his faithful feline companion and many other relatives and friends.
