Alice M. Truax, 90, of Linesville, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the Meadville Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Born December 21, 1927, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Charles and Theresa Snyder Brown. She married Samuel R. Truax Sr. on December 31, 1951, in Linesville.

He preceded her in death in 1984. Alice was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. She was a loving and devoted homemaker.

She was of the Methodist faith. Alice enjoyed reading and playing games with her family. She loved her dog Holly.

Survivors include 12 children, Theresa Simpson of Erie, Samuel R. Truax Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Nancy Bishop of Erie, Albert Truax of Alabama, Sandra Glancy and her husband, George, of Meadville, Shirley Featsent of Linesville, William Truax and his wife, Dorothy, of Granbury, Texas, Jackie Truax of Sharon, Martha Snyder of Texas, Dolores Shultz of San Antonio, Texas, Donna Truax of Tennessee and Elizabeth Truax of Florida; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Taylor of Linesville and Edna Bailey and her husband, Ray of Conneaut Lake; and two brothers, George Glancy Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Meadville, and Paul Glancy and his wife Brenda of Conneaut Lake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Shirley Featsent officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.
