Alice C. Wargo of Ocean Isle Beach, NC formerly of Niles passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center. She was 75. Alice was born on January 16, 1943 in Warren, the daughter of the late James O. and Margaret G. Christy Holland.

She attended Howland School Systems and was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Mrs. Wargo was a realtor for Reliable and Altobelli Real Estate for many years. Alice was of Methodist faith and attended First United Methodist Church in Niles.

In her spare time, she loved spending it on the golf course or playing cards and Mojang with her social club. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother and cherished the memories she made with her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard Wargo, whom she married October 5, 1963 in Howland Community Church; a son Marcus (Nicole) Wargo of Pittsburgh; a sister, Margaret (Michael) Brink of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; 2 brothers, Chester (Susan) Holland of St. James, NC and Ronald (Ellen) Holland of Howland; 2 grandchildren, Beckett and Finn; Alice is also survived by a nephew Donald Wargo and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by 2 sons, Christopher and Matthew Wargo. Friends and family may view the obituary and send condolences by visiting www. NicholasFuneralHome.com At Alice’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
