Obituary for Allison Lamson MENANDS – Allison Fay Rima Lamson, 68, died peacefully Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy. Born in Ellenville, NY on September 26, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Clarice Stuckey Case. Allison moved to the Capital District in 1969.

She was a driver and EMT for the former Riverside Ambulance in Menands and was the Director for Literacy Volunteers of America. She was commissioned as a Lay Minister for the Albany Presbytery and served at many churches in the Albany area including the Schaghticoke Presbyterian Church where she ministered from 1998-2002. She was also an early education volunteer at the First United Presbyterian Church in Troy.

She is the beloved wife of Scott H. Lamson; devoted and loving mother of Alyssa Lamson, Denise Pender, Melinda Marrero, Gwen Lamson, Jessica Lamson, Emily Thomas, Bonita Stewart, Angelina Lamson, Nicholas Lamson and Clara Lamso; grandmother of Alyson, Desiree, Danielle, Donnetria, Rebecca, Chris, Gabriella, Isabella, Victoria, Leah, Melissa, Vanessa, Mariah, Matthew, Jordan, Levi and Tyler; and 1 great grandchild. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 28th at 10:00 am at the Loudonville Presbyterian Church, 22 Old Niskayuna Road, Loudonville with Rev. Elaine Woroby, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham on Friday from 4-7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran School, 63 Mountain View Avenue, Albany, NY 12205 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
