Alta Wheat, 87, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Wedgewood Healthcare in Clarksville, IN. She was born on November 12, 1930 in Leslie Co., KY to Ray and Laura (Jones) Begley. She was a retired factory worker for Louisville Ladder Company, and a member of the ninth & O Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Hamilton; brothers, Paul Begley, and Joe Begley. Survivors include her brother, Price Begley of Louisville, KY; sisters, Nancy Sanders of Charlestown, IN, Grace Wilson of Nashville, TN, and Marlene Sizemore of Otisco, IN; granddaughters, Jessica McIntyre of Louisville, KY, and Brianna McIntyre of Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.

Visitation will begin on Thursday after 11am till time of the service.
