Earline Fern Reich, 98 of Charlestown passed away on October 26, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. She was born on April 24, 1920 in Pasadena, CA to Paul and Ruth Edwards Hester who preceded her in death. Earline was a 1937 graduate of Charlestown High School and a 1941 graduate of Indiana University.

She was a teacher for several years at the Charlestown Elementary School and later worked as a secretary for Pleasant Ridge Elementary. Earline was an avid bridge player, a former Sr. Girl Scout helper, and volunteered her time at the Charlestown Community Food Pantry. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown where she spent over 50 years playing the organ beginning at the age of 14.

She was also a Past President of the Charlestown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Past President of the Charlestown Chapter of Psi Iota Xi. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stephen Reich, Sr, son Paul Allen Reich, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children: Harriet (Irwin) Cohen of Carmel, IN, Laura (Dale) Thompson of Ft.

Wayne, IN, Steve (Sharon) Reich of Jeffersonville, IN, Emma (Jerry) Roach of Charlestown, IN, and Mary (Greg) Rone of Charlestown, IN; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Church.
