Robert Eugene Snyder, 72 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday October 12, 2018 at Sellersburg Healthcare Center. He was born on February 23, 1946 in New Albany, IN to Richard and Rita Beck Snyder. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired switchman for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, a member of the Charlestown Independent Church, a coach for the Clark and Floyd Counties Special Olympics and a coach for the Challenger Baseball League that is associated with the Clarksville Little League.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson Snyder; sons, Christopher Snyder (Pam) of Charlestown, Matthew Snyder (Shelly) of Lawrenceburg, IN and Nathan Snyder of Charlestown; brother, Dick Snyder of New Albany, IN; sister, Mary Cris Fink of Georgetown, IN; grandchildren, Derek, Lorrayna, Gwenith, Ivonna, Isabella and Nick and his great granddaughter, Clarke; step grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Landon, Michael, Jennifer, Connor and McKenzie. Life Celebration services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Charlestown Independent Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 pm to 8 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and on Wednesday after 11 am at the church.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Robert may go to the Clark and Floyd Counties Special Olympics in care of S. Binggeli at 1511 Oakmont Drive, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
