Alva H. Sinnett Jr. age 82 of Millersburg, Ohio died peacefully Saturday. June 23, 2018 at Majora Lane Nursing Home, Millersburg, Ohio following an extended illness while surrounded by his family. Private Memorial services will be held at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with pastor Jim Jamison officiating.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be at a later date. Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd. , Wooster, Ohio 44610.

He was born March 17, 1936 in Harrisville, WV. and was the son of Alva H. and Marcella (Martin) Sinnett. He was united in marriage to Linda L. Roby on May 18, 1957 in St. Mary, WV.

and she survives. He enjoyed working in the oil field as a Rig Operator and after retirement, stayed busy hauling amish. He loved his family and friends and Alva was known as someone who never met a stranger.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda are 3 children, Tina (Don) Norris, Tanya Sinnett and life partner Doug, and Jake (Kim) Sinnett all of Millersburg; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Ernestine Cowan, Betty (Chuck) Hart, Vieva Massie, Nancy Timmons, Brenda (Don) Price, Margie (Homer) Wright, and Barb (Butch) Whitefield. He was preceded in death by an infant, Tony Lee, sister, Sara and husband Wayne Daugherty and 2 brothers-in-law, Gene Massie and Howard Cowan.
