Alvin Hammond, Jr., 71, passed away May 18, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife Joan and his parents Alvin and Elaine Hammond. He is survived by his children Alvin Hammond, III, Amy Hammond, Robin Hammond and Robert (Eileen) Hammond, 3 grandchildren Kimberly, Mari-Ann and John, his brothers Charles (Linda) Hammond and Roger Hammond.

Alvin retired from the Binghamton Press. He enjoyed golf, playing poker and trips to Turning Stone Casino. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
