Obituary for Andres Hernandez Sr. Andres R. Hernandez, Sr., was born on November 30, 1935, in Mexico. He passed away on September 5, 2018 at Baylor Scott and White Marble Falls. Visitation was held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6:00—7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba.

Rosary will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba. Andres lived in San Saba for most of his adult life.

He married Maria Sosa Garcia in 1955 in San Patricio, Texas. Together they had 5 sons and 5 daughters. Andres liked living in a small town.

He spent as much time as he could being out in nature. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, tending to his pecan trees, and working on cars. He was known as a kind, loving, and patient man.

He loved being with family and spoiling his grandchildren and great – grandchildren. He even had time for music and dancing in his life. Andres is survived by his five sons: Andres Hernandez, Jr., and wife, Lilia; Jose Hernandez, and wife, Rosemary; Robert Hernandez, and wife, Mary; Antonio Hernandez; and Leonel Hernandez; five daughters: Maria Castelan; Pancha Gamez, and husband, Delfino; Oralia Hunt, Cenaida Adams, and husband, Randy; and Eloisa Monarez.

, and husband, Luis; 25 grandchildren, 21 great -grandchildren, and l great– great grandchild. Andres was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Garcia Hernandez, his parents: Antonio and Pancha Hernandez, and 1 grandson, Jose Mario Hernandez. Memorials may be made the American Heart Association and American and Alzheilmers Association.
