Andrew “Jack” Frank Jackson Ford October 28, 1937 – February 08, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mr. Andrew Frank Jackson Ford, 80, of 201 Cemetery Road entered into eternal rest of Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home. Born on October 28, 1937 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Matthew Samuel Ford and the late Estell Green Ford. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Columbia, South Carolina and South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He was formerly employed as a business manager for Anders and Company of Columbia, South Carolina, a funeral director with Sullivan Funeral Home in Columbia, South Carolina and a dispatcher for Southside Cab Company in Greenwood, South Carolina. He served his country in the branch of the United States Army. “Jack” as he was called by his family and friends was a member of New Faith Tabernacle Church, where he was the father of the church.

He also was a member of the American Legion Post 224; the Veteran of Foreign Wars; the Disabled Veterans and the Palmetto Elks Lodge of Columbia, South Carolina. Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Nathaniel Ford and J. D. Ford; four sisters, Mildred F. Colclough, Rosetta Shula, Mary Lee Ford and Annie Mae F. Wilson; one grandson, Jaydin Palmore. Leaving to cherish his most precious memories are; his loving and dedicated friend, Sarah D. Lomax of the home; one son, Phil M. Ford of Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters, Christian Lomax and Lasheka D. Lomax, one adopted daughter, Katina Reid all Greenwood, South Carolina; one brother, Bishop Gus Ford of Decatur, Georgia; one adopted sister, Eva Armstrong of Winnsboro, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Andrew Shamar Lomax, Miyianna Lomax and Jaylin Palmore all of Greenwood, South Carolina and two special nephews, Jason Colclough of Atlanta, Georgia and Shawn Colclough of Cocoa, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at noon on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at New Faith Tabernacle Church with the Reverend Bernard Morman, Pastor and Officiating, Reverend Wilbert Simpkins, Presiding, assisted by Reverend Barbara Lewis, Reverend John A. Duncan and Elder Bennie Burt. The family is at the home. .
