Angel Isidro, 94, husband of the late Noemi Isidro passed away peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018 in Virginia surrounded by his loving family. Angel was born on August 2nd, 1924 in Havana, Cuba. He was the son of Angel Isidro Sr. and Josefa Pombo and was the eldest of their seven children.

Angel graduated from the police academy in Havana and worked for 16 years in various assignments in the National Secret Police prior to the arrival of Communism in Cuba. In 1961, Angel along with his family, moved to Miami and later to Stamford, Connecticut where he became a proud U.S. citizen in 1970. He lived in Stamford for 54 years and worked alongside his wife at Machlett’s Laboratories for 28 years, until their retirement in 1989.

Angel was the embodiment of integrity, honesty, hard work and responsibility. His love and devotion for his family were always his number one priority. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and neighbor.

He impressed upon his daughters and grandchildren the importance of elections, voting and the gift of freedom. He had an infectious smile and was loved by everyone. Angel is survived by his two daughters: Lupe Isidro Dauplaise (David) in Stamford, and Angie Isidro Bresnahan (Scott) in Purcellville, VA.

, and three grandchildren: Daniel Dauplaise, Diane Dauplaise and Rachelle Bresnahan. Brother: Juan Isidro (Jackie), sisters-in-law: Andrea Proenza, Ellen Isidro, Herminia Isidro and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and by his wife, Noemi Isidro and brothers: Ramon, Felix, Sebastian, Lucas, and sister Martina.

Heaven gained an Angel…. and we lost our heart. Dad, May God Bless you on your journey home.

Angel’s family will receive the sympathy and condolences of family and friends on Tuesday, November 20th from 4pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT, 06902. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, November 21st at 10am at The Basilica of Saint John Church, 279 Atlantic St, Stamford, CT 06901. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave.
