Obituary of Angelina Parillo Angelina M. Parillo, age 87, of Gloversville, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville, following a brief battle with cancer . She was born October 6, 1931 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Puglisi Vecchio. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and was later employed at the former McSherry’s Supermarket for many years.

She worked as the bookkeeper at the family owned and operated Alida’s Appliances until her retirement. Angie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with her dog Bear at her side. She is survived by four children, Albert Parillo (Theresa), Paul Parillo, Jr. (Elizabeth), Linda Lizio (Mark Towne) and Coreen Perna (Robert); nine grandchildren, Gregory Parillo (Erica), Scott Parillo (Jennifer), Vanessa Olivarez, Antionio Parillo, Micholyn Lizio, Gregory Lizio, Robert Perna, Jr. (Tricia), Alyssa Britt (Jason) and David Perna; nine great-grandchildren, Clorissa Meisner (Travis), Jordan and Devin Frye, Addisyn Parham, Kenley, Paxton and Rylan Britt and Lucas and Joseph Parillo.

She also leaves behind two great-great-grandchildren, Tristen and Olivia Meisner. Angie’s surviving sisters are Theresa Mastripaola and Antoinette Sirois; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Angie was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Parillo Sr. in 2014; son-in-law Michael Lizio; two brothers, Santo Vecchio and Rev.

Egidio Vecchio; and two sisters, Mary Kurek and Amelia Schramn. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 8 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St., Gloversville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating.

Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, 99 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
