Anita P. Mendoza, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away in her San Pedro home on January 3, 2019. Anita was born to Stanley and Patricia Osuniga of Wilmington, California on November 26, 1926. At the age of 22, Anita married her late husband, Ernest Mendoza and spent the rest of her years living in their San Pedro home.

Anita and her husband enjoyed attending their Toberman Senior Citizens Club functions and trips. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling with her husband and family. Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ernest Mendoza, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Macias, Laurent (Lorie) Mendoza, Irene Rodriguez, and Ernie Mendoza Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. The family would like to acknowledge the great love and care she received from the compassionate Hospice care team which included Lori (R.N.), Coleen (S.W.), Yvette (caretaker), and Emily (caretaker). The Viewing will be held at McNerney’s Mortuary on Thursday January 10, 2019, at 4pm with the Rosary Service starting at 7pm.

The Funeral Mass will be offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10am. Immediately following will be the burial at Green Hills Memorial Park. Please sign the guestbook at mcnerneysmortuary.com.
