Hammer– Ann, 97, of Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2018 at Windber Hospice. Born on January 28, 1921 in Slovakia, daughter of George and Nellie (Kulick) Butala. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Domer Graham Hammer; son, Domer James “Jim” Hammer; sister, Mary Butala, Marcus; brothers-in-law, Frank Marcus and Peter Kerekish, and sister-in-law, Thelma Butala.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Gloria “Jean”, wife of Brian Mackell, Jackson Township; granddaughters, Sherry, wife of Roland James, Jackson Township and Melissa, wife of Richard Goss, Northern Cambria, PA. She will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren, Kyle Hanyock, Wade James, Lindsey Corcetti and Austin Hanyock and her great-great grandchildren, Addison, Liv, Silas, Taven, and Louden, Jet. Also survived by her brother, John Butala, Jackson Township; sister, Susan Kerekish, Vintondale and several nieces and nephews.

Ann loved being with her family, every animal created, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Per Ann’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Contributions may be directed to Windber Hospice in memory of Ann. On line condolences may be posted to www.
